African World Fashion association is born in Geneva, Switzerland and its main objective is to promote African handcraft all over the world respecting the fair exchange and the environment
The collection of jewellery presented is made from natural materials as horn, bone and natural beads
These natural or recycled products are collected from slaughterhouses.
The products used to polish the horn are non-toxic. The horn, bone and natural beads are derived from West Africa and all over the world
This range this of contemporary jewellery is in bold, geometric and irregular forms and can be worn to accessorise both casual and formal dresses.
Each piece is unique and carefully handcrafted.
Mariama, the creator works directly with artisans and permit them to have a decent salary.
Most of the collection is made by an association of women

Mariama is originated from Senegal, after her licence in applied foreign languages,
She has travelled a lot throughout the world, she lived 8 years in Switzerland, 5 years in Angola and one year in Benin.
Mariama’s passion for fashion started at the age of twenty
When she was student, she was modelling for free for young designers in her home country Senegal.
Besides fashion, Mariama loves to learn new cultures and languages as she speaks fluently Wolof, French, English, Portuguese and Arabic.
In 2003, she launched her first collection called Maissa Collection at Moda Luanda, the biggest fashion show in Angola and also advertised at the website
